The United Church of Bernardston reaches out to the community in many ways:

• Our fellowship hall is available to community groups

2nd Annual Golf Tournament

September 15th, 2007

• 8:00 AM shotgun start at Oak Ridge Golf Course, Gill, MA
• Raffles, Prizes, Chicken BBQ
• Golf & Dinner $65.00 per person, Dinner only $10.00

Holiday Bazaar Photos

31st Gas Engine Show and Annual Flea Market

Facts:

• Over 80 local businesses contributed
• Over 240 peopled involved in running the show
• 16 Chairpersons
• 6,000 napkins were used
• 2,330 bottles of soda and water were sold
• 14 tubs of ice cream were sold
• 1,280 hamburgers were sold
• 90 pounds of ham were served at the Ham and Bean Supper
• Over 1,400 documented work hours

New this year:

• T-shirts were sold for this first time. Over 150 were sold, making this a successful first-time fundraiser. We have 90 t-shirts left. If anyone would like to purchase one, please contact Bob Allen (648-5397).
• Loaded baked potatoes and veggie burgers were sold for the first time and were successful.

Best of show trophies were awarded for engine exhibitors. The trophies were awarded for interaction with people,knowledge of machine, and operation of unit.

First Place: Tom Holton, West Chesterford, NH
Second Place: Bud Streeter, Bernardston, MA
Third Place: Lou Chadwick, Buckland, MA

• Fellowship hours were immeasurable. Many who attended commented on the unity of our community.
• Final figures are not in, but we raised over $25,000.00.
